Bayonets
Many of the bayonets that collectors have may be missing a piece that keeps it’s value lower than it should be. Most collectors strive to get the correct parts and replacement pieces for their bayonet collections so we are proud to offer them for sale here. The different models of bayonets will all take special parts and pieces so be sure to do your research before purchasing anything to make sure you are getting the right parts. There are four main areas of a bayonet. These are the hilt, the cross guard, the blade, and the scabbard. The hilt will have a grip on some models that can be attached with a screw or combination of screws. These can be made from leather, wood, metal, sheet steel, plastic, Bakelite, and many other kinds of materials. The pommel is a part of the hilt and it is where the locking the mechanism is contained and each bayonet may have a different method of attachment to the rifle or musket it was designed to fit. Another part of the hilt you may be looking for is the press stud or leaf spring that holds it on to the weapon. You may also be looking for a muzzle ring or a quillon, or other part for the crossguard part of the bayonet. Not all bayonets have the same parts so again, research is crucial if you are restoring a bayonet. You are welcome to list any of your bayonet parts here for sale so that others can benefit from what you have to offer. Don’t let your bayonet go without the proper scabbard, find it right here and make your weapon complete.
