1919-38:
Bayonets during the time of the Inter-War were still widely used in practice drills for the military forces. They were just as much a part of the training received by ROTC cadets as were the target practice and other military tactics. You may find training bayonets that have a ball attached to the end of them in some of the collector’s collections. It was during this time that manufacturers of the various bayonets made improvements to the models they already had. Muzzles were strengthened with additional bands and other small improvements were made while the military trained with these weapons.
